B.E.E.
There are three things I would like you to remember me by, using the acronym B.E.E. -which stands for bulletproof, ego driven, and empathetic- all of which, I have found to be common themes throughout my research of what creates a successful person.
BULLETPROOF
The B stands for bulletproof. When I set a goal I see it through to completion, despite any obstacles that get in my way. For me, one way in which I exhibited this trait was by interning with Henry Schein this summer. Through cold calling over 450 dentist practices and receiving a heavy flow of rejection, I persevered from office to office and was able to incite over $783,000 worth of potential sales in seven weeks.
EGO DRIVEN
Secondly, I am ego driven. To me, this means that I have a winning attitude. An example of this is when I had the opportunity to compete and go to Hollywood for American Idol. Leading up to going to California, there was a 3-month gap, and I spent that time cultivating my voice daily in order to get the results I wanted to see. Even though I did not make it to the finals, I saw more improvement in my voice during this season than I have ever experienced. So in my opinion, I do not look at it as a loss. In fact, I do not believe I can ever lose; each time I miss the mark, I look at it as a learning opportunity. Therefore, I am always winning.
EMPATHETIC
The second E represents empathetic. I have served as a waitress at Saltgrass Steakhouse for two of my college summers. While doing this, it is my job to relate to my customers, uncover their wants, and then meet that need. Due to my ability to understand the customer, I was able to receive the top 10% of customer surveys at my restaurant location.
